CrossFit NFT Lean Into Spring Challenge!

As CrossFitters, we always work hard and expect a lot from ourselves, but we all need a little motivation sometimes…and what better way to motivate than with money?!!!

Starting on Saturday January 9th, we will begin the “CrossFit NFT Lean Into Spring Challenge.”  For 7 weeks, all athletes who enter will try to be the most dedicated to getting fit and leaning out.  This means hard work in the gym, and even harder work outside of the gym.  Diet will play a crucial role in this.  Food journals will be kept and before and after pictures will be taken.  Entrants will put a certain amount of money into a pot, and at the end of the challange, the winner will take it all home!

If you are a student, the seven weeks will end just in time for Spring Break!  If you aren’t a student, it will still be just in time for Spring Pool Season!  No matter what, you’ll look and feel better!

Specifics about the challenge will be ironed out and posted sometime soon.  Let us know if you will be interested so we can get an idea about how many we will be looking at.  The more people who do it, the more fun it will be!

Ray Chill, I had to do some Boudin research after your “Boudin arms” comment the other night. Of course I went to my trusted http://www.BoudinLink.com website and learned “Cajun boudin sausage is a delicious blend of rice, pork, and spices injected into a natural casing and served everywhere from the fanciest restaurants to gas stations in the country.” Nice! Honestly, folks should not use “injected” when describing food. I would sub in “lovingly introduced into a natureal casing.” I say before we start the January 9th fitness challenge, we do up some Boudin! Grill it up right there in the parking lot. Or hell, maybe have that be the prize for who leans up the most–forget the cash–I heard early Cajuns actually used their beloved sausage as currency. Laissez le bon Boudin roulez, baby!

OK, count me in if I can do it from afar. I have to get past the fact that I had wine, cheese, crackers and cookies for dinner tonight!

hahaha… Alex you crack me up! I’ll have to see about getting some over here. My dad is going to New Orleans over Christmas, BUT Sean and I will be headed that way for Mardi Gras (in February) so maybe I’ll pick some up for the gang then! Its for sure worth a cheat meal ;-)

I wish I was there for this. I would gain as much weight as I can now during Christmas break and lose it all in 7 weeks by eating nothing but animals that I kill by hand and vegetables and fruits that I myself pull from the ground. I would then take the pot of money home and by the largest meal I can afford and then I would probly die. Fat.

Haha! I think that could be a popular strategy…being that the holidays are upon us and we all love to eat! Everyone should be prepared for some hard work when they get back!

Ferdi…………….. COME BACK! I told Sean we have to put a clause in our waivers and contracts. From here on out if you leave CrossFit NFT (for jobs/school/or otherwise) you MUST replace yourself with someone of equal or greater value… we can’t afford to loose kick ass people like you and Brad…. come live on our couch!
